While Bloody Morningstar are not the first metal band to embrace the theme of vampires, they are one of the more commercially successful. With strong classical influences, harsh guitars and vocals, and the use of non-Western rhythms, Bloody Morningstar is a strong marriage of black metal and power metal that leaves fans biting for more.
The band was founded by vocalist and rhythm guitarist Brys Darcy (Ianto Eirlys) and bassist Elyes Jaouhari (Hafeez Asghar Cuesta), with lead guitarist Jean-Étienne Petit (Jean Duplantier) and drummer Saito Tetsuro (Miyamoto Ryo).

A few months ago, I asked if you would be interested in reading a modern-day Heavy Metal Vampires story. The answer was a unanimous Yes!
While I haven’t yet written a full book featuring heavy metal’s most dangerous band, I do have a series of modern day short stories available for free, and also included in the Heavy Metal Blood Origins Collection. That said, these boys have absolutely been rotating in my head like a microwave, and I definitely plan to at least write more short stories about them.
In the meantime, I’m still making progress through Heavy Metal Hunters 5. I’m giving myself until the end of the month to finish this round of drafting. After that, I’m spending November writing a couple shorter stories to meet anthology deadlines.
