Meet Immortal Hale
Emperor Immortal's leading man
First of all, I’d like to thank everyone who supported Heavy Metal Hunter Volume One’s release a couple weeks ago. I honestly cannot say what it means every single time somebody buys or reads one of my books.
If you haven’t read Heavy Metal Hunters, then you might not have met Hale yet. If you were a metal fan in this world, that would put you in the minority. Hale is one of metal’s most renowned guitarists and, according to some, one of Sweden’s best exports.
Getting there wasn’t easy. The start of his career changed abruptly after a visit to his fiancé’s family cabin ended in an attack by the Scandinavian version of a vampire. The vampire not only killed Hale’s fiancé, but tore up Hale’s shoulder. Grieving and in pain, Hale began to drown himself in alcohol to cope. Despite his self-destruction, the band continued to thrive.
Until he was faced to get his shit together or lose everything.
Even though he’s turned his life around, Hale is still dealing with the aftermath of the last twelve years. Touring and vampire hunting have left him with chronic pain. He’s burnt a lot of bridges, and there’s a lot he has to make up for.
Hale is a bit of a dichotomy. He’s both a hunter and a healer, and he sometimes has a hard time reconciling that. He wants a quiet life, but he’d rather die than give up touring.
You can still grab the Heavy Metal Hunters Volume One which includes the first three books and bonus story A Song of Seers, or start with A Riff of Retribution for 0.99$. If you’re looking for something to listen to while reading, you can check out this Hale-inspired playlist.
