I’m not even going to ask how we got into September already. I will fully admit that August completely got away from me. Honestly, it feels like everything that was on my to-do list is still sitting there. While I did get through my re-reads of Heavy Metal Hunters books 4 and 5, I think I still need a couple more days before I’m ready to start on the next one.
Some of you might have noticed that Heavy Metal Hunters Book 3 is up for preorder. It’s off to proofreading now, which means it’s a very short matter of time before it’s completely ready.
These books are a labour of love for me. I’m definitely not in it for the money. In fact, I do additional side work to help support it. The hours that go into every single thing I write is exhausting. I recently joined a new writing group since I moved, and every one of them was very surprised by how much time I spend on writing. It’s been my entire life outside work for the past several years. It’s been what helped me get through lockdowns and working from home. I keep writing because I want to tell these stories. I keep publishing because people want to read them. But it is exhausting, and the rise of AI-generated stories is making it feel like a losing battle.
I’m not asking you to buy anything today. All I’m asking is that if you’ve ever enjoyed anything I’ve written, please leave a rating or review on Amazon.
And thank you for sticking with me.
