I’d like to thank everyone so much for the replies to my last email, and to everyone who picked up both A Riff of Retribution and A Chant of Chains. I’m wrapping up revisions on book 5 in the series, which will be coming sometime next year. While book 6 still has a significant amount of work left, I’m still confident that I can have a late summer/early fall release for book 4.
October is always a very busy month for me, especially this year. I just moved again, though at least this time it’s just across town instead of across the province. Still, it’s been a hectic few weeks as I repack during a very busy work period for the second time in as many years. I’m fitting in as much writing as I can while re-buying the furniture I had to abandon and getting all my IDs changed over. But it’s worth it because I finally get to have a separate office again, and a place for my corkboard and notes.
Here is my game plan for the next few months:
October: Finish this round of revisions on Hunters 5
November: Write two brand new Heavy Metal stories for anthologies (Seb Bartok & Vik Johansson)
December - January: Finish writing Hunters 6
February - March: Reread every single Heavy Metal book and redo my world bible and timeline
April: Finalize Hunters 4
May: Finalize Hunters 5; Hunters 4 being proofread
June: Finalize Hunters 6; Hunters 5 being proofread
July: Hunters 6 being proofread
August: Release Hunters 4
Long-time followers will know that this is not my usual timeline. I wanted to try something different this time, where I write the main spot line and then go back and fill in the sub plot once I know where the story is going. Unfortunately, with the way my brain works, I needed the sub plot to know how to tie my main pot together. Added to the fact that I have moved twice in as many years, and I am back to commuting every day…
But I promise it is coming!
In the meantime, make sure you grab Indestructible: A Short Story Collection for free.
Glad you are continuing with the Hunter series. Excited for book 4 to come out! I still have Chains and Hel to read/review. So busy with so many books.
